Major League Baseball Players

Mike Wallace

Drafted in 4th Round by the Philadelphia Phillies in 1969.  Played for the Cardinals, Phillies, Yankees and Rangers.  Retired 1977.

Jay Franklin

Second overall pick in Major League Baseball Draft by the San Diego Padres in 1971.  Played one year in the Majors for San Diego before retiring.

Bob Brower

After starring for Duke University, signed with the Texas Rangers in 1982.  Played for the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees.  Retired in 1989.

Jim McNamara

After starring for North Carolina State University, signed with the San Francisco Giants in 1986.  Played two years for the Giants before retiring in 1993.
